Visiting my father’s grave

I and my family visited my father’s grave.

Every year in Kyoto, There is a tradition called “Gozan no Okuribi”.
This tradition is held to welcome our ancestor by lighting up bonfires,
and these bonfires makes beautiful Japanese letters or shapes at the mountains in Kyoto.

However this tradition will be scale down to avoid being infected by COVID19,
we can’t see the lightened up mountains as usual.

Posters reminds me some quotes.

I found interesting posters at the temple near the graveyard.
Picture at the top says “Journey of life is enjoyable, journey still goes on”.
The other says “You can’t change the past and others but you can change the future and yourself”.

You cannot change others or the pastYou can change yourself and the future.”

“Awareness requires living in the here and now, and not in the elsewhere, the past or the future.”
― Eric Berne

The tribe that doesn’t talk past time.

This posters also reminds me the “Pirahã tribe”.
“Pirahã tribe” has an interesting language which doesn’t have any words that refer the past or the future.
It seems like they have an importance in living in current time, and that is one of the most important factor to live happily for the tribe.

Cute flowers were welcoming us.

I don’t know the name of this flower but when I see these flowers, they made me relaxing and calm…

I want to keep this “Relaxing” and “Calming” feelings whenever it is.
